Car Show On The Square Saturday
Downtown Glasgow will be the setting for the 10th
Annual Cruise Into Fall Car Show this Saturday, October 9th.
Registration for exhibitors will begin at
8:30 on West Main Street between Liberty
Street and the traffic light at the Square.
We have a beautiful magnetic dash plate made
especially for this year's show. The first
one hundred exhibitors to register will
receive one free. There will be dash plates
and t-shirts for sale near the gazebo.
The car show will open to
the public at 10:00 AM. There will be
concessions available in front of the Court
House and at restaurants downtown, George
J's, Subway and “Lil Johns. The public is
invited to vote for their favorite car and
the winner will receive the People’s Choice
Award. There is also a Ladies’ Choice
Award . Ballots can be picked up at the
Gazebo.
Downtown
merchants have put together a Merchants
basket that will be given away on Saturday
at 1:00 PM. Stop by the Gazebo to pick up
the Registration form and check out all the
goodies in the basket. The Awards Ceremony
will begin at 2:30 PM and will be followed
by a Cruise up North Race Street and out
Happy Valley Rd., the original cruisin’
strip.
Becky Barrick, on of the
show coordinators said, “We invite everyone
to come downtown Saturday to see this great
lineup of cars of all makes and models,
classics and antiques, street rods, antique
motorcycles and antique tractors. Still
working on yours? Come on down and talk to
the experts. This is one of the largest
cars shows in south central Kentucky. You
don’t want to miss it."
